2016 EMA of BC workshop Call for Abstracts

The 2016 EMA of BC Workshop "Foreshore Projects and Considerations in Emergency & Spill Response" will explore the complexities of BC coastal projects through their various stages, and incorporate emergency and spill response considerations. Discussion will revolve around successes and challenges associated with foreshore development as well as emergency and spill response strategies. Panels representing consultants, emergency response, government, industry, shipping and spill response will discuss projects / case studies with a high level ‘lessons learned’ approach. Focus will be on key issues faced by stakeholders as they seek to balance the business and environmental risks associated with BC’s economy.

The EMA of BC is seeking presentation, academic poster, and working group abstracts from industry, government, academia, First Nations, and NGOs addressing this topic in the following areas:
